Feels like the weekend lasted forever, four days of hanging out taking it easy. Damn it felt good. Enough laziness though, i have decided to rework a travis hoffman music site. I have on up an running....although almost abandonned by me... at It's not as bad as my first attempt at the whole site....but still. I know now how much more i'm capable of. I'm trying to promote my design skills around the area with local bands and individual artist, no real excitement yet, but it's only been a few days since i've began marketing myself...we'll see what happens. I finally have some ideas for a assigned ad campaign via upstage marketing communications. I basically had nothing to go on except that the ad is for financial advisors, however I think i FINALLY have a design and advertising concept, i'm anxious to toss it out and see what happens, i'm not overly expectant of it going all the way, but it least they can't accuse me of not giving it a shot.
It's nice this time of year, having all the old friends back in town, got to jam with my best bud nathan...many a moment was spent in the past pursuing band activities and hanging out, so it's nice to be able to hang out once again, and reminisce as well as keep on doing what we enjoy. It's hard to believe this is my last school "christmas break" doesn't seem possible that it is quickly winding down. Soon i'll begin getting my name out around St. Louis and entering the whole scary job market...as well as the real world, i've somewhat began scanning over apartment ads just to get an idea of what's out there and for how much, that has put me to some ease, well as much as can be expected. I look forward to a place of my own however, a kitchen to cook in a room to work, all those little things like..I'll be at MY home..that will be nice I think. Wow it's 1a.m. on Monday morning, I should definately be asleep right now..but i'm not. I think my brain works best late at night/early in the morning. Lots of random thoughts. I think however that I'll move on to dreamland and see what the rest of the day holds for me. I've got some fresh ideas and a weekend of rest under my belt...so for all I know I just may be unstopable. farewell.

Merry Christmas, I have officially decided to offer my design services to the local music scene around quincy. I plan on offering web page design, album design, logo work, and flyer design. I decided to not set any standard pricing, because i know that kids in bands around town won't be able to afford the actual pricing of professionals. Hence I decided a good way to build up my portfolio is to offer cheap design. They get affordable design work and I get quality items for my portfolio. I'm pretty excited about it and I hope it takes off, i've gotten a couple of random nibbles so far, and I hope it continues. I plan on getting all my quincy hybrid items together and prepare it for entry in my portfolio today. Got some good stuff for christmas...a firewire pci card for my laptop...very cool..now I just have to utitlize it some. I got a little t.v. to set by my desktop dell so i can design and check out the ole tele. Wel I gots some work to do, laters.

well christmas eve day...think all my shopping is done...until I get a gift from someone that i wasn't expecting. Smoked a damn good cigar last night, saved some for later too. I'm looking forward to lounging around christmas day and catchin up on some rest. I'm sure i'll be scheming over what to do with my temporary christmas wealth. I've been tossing over the idea of dual monitors on my computer at home...and the more i think about it the more i think i might just let that idea set on the backburner a while longer. Well gotta go.

Well, the weekend has come and gone once more. Christmas looms around the corner and i still haven't done any shopping, guess it's a good thing i work best under pressure. I got back to town at about 1:30 and pursued the adventures of Grand Theft Auto 3 for PS2...my little present to myself...guess i did do some shopping...even though it was for myself. I then began re-running by network cables at the house. Didn't take long to get the lovely taste of celing panels and dust upon my pallete. Now i have a connection in both of my rooms, and no longer where there is no computer at all. I was glad to get that done. Oh yeah, i was excited to see that it will be possible to run a dual monitor setup with my computer, i had by doubts as of late, but i recently came upon an article explaining different methods and connection types, now i know I CAN do it after all. Only draw back is that i need another monitor, flatscreen would be nice.............yeah.....so since i don't think i'm gonna have four hundred bucks to burn i might look into standard monitors, Oh well we'll see how that all develops, i've also been working on side project of trying to get an old touchscreen beast working again, hopefully I make some progress with that soon. Come to think of it i have alot of little projects i'm right in the middle of...i'll save those for another time, as well as more bloggin, cause it's late and i'm tired....farewell.

Well I've pretty well completed my first week back at rokusek design. i've done about two website models for the upstage marketing communications. I'm kind of waiting on a definate direction as far as how it should be posted, as well as some company information. I'm enjoying the break from school and I hope it doesn't fly by to fast, i need a little r & r before my last semester of college...shit can't believe college is almost over, scary stuff. Went and checked out the Final saga of Lord of the Rings with my good friend Nathan who i haven't seen since before thanksgiving. I liked the movie, a bit long but time still managed to fly pretty well I suppose. Getting ready to head to St. Louis within the next hour or so. One last weekend with the girl in St. Louis before a couple weeks seperated. I'll miss her but i think the solo time will serve as a good energizer for me, lots of time to play around with FLASH 5 and Bryce and collect my thoughts. Untill next time, later

Many new and exciting moments right now, just saw on yahoo news that Sadaam has been captured, that' s white a relief to everyobody i think, secondly, the fruits of many a laborous hour have finally paid off. The release of Quincy Hybrids has now happened, it's nice to finally hold the cd in my hand and not just look at everything on paper. I've also finished another project for a friend of my mothers. It's nice to finally wrap up some projects that seemed to last forever. I am also very excited because Tommorow I start back at rokusek design. I'm looking forward to getting back in with professionals and broadening by design and creative horizons. Hopefully in the near future i'll have several more items on my portfolio.
