Good saturday evening to you all. It's been a lovely unpreductive saturday for me. I enjoyed it immensely. Unfortunately there's really not alot on my mind I suppose. Let's see...hmm, oh yeah I finally have my new computer system up and running at work. It took about a month to get but even being the mac head I am, it's one sweet PC machine. It's got dual 2.6 processors and 2gigs of RAM. This mofo can really run. The IT guys also set me up with dual 18 inch flat screen monitors. The system and the monitors are all Dell. I'm really digging the flatscreens, they're new and have about a half inch bezel along the outside. Much much better then the old style of about two inches. It's a really stylish and great performing machine. But to be honest, I kind of feel like I'm wasting the performance, because I really don't do heavily processor intensive tasks as of now, just some photo editing and pathing in photoshop. But hey, whatever I'm not complaining. It is however kind of cumersome doing shortcuts from the Mac to pc platform, instead of hitting the option key on the mac, which is the windows key on a pc you have to hit the control key on the pc. I don't know how many times I hit the windows key in one day, but the dang menu is CONSTANTLY opening. On a different note, I took in a good portion of the Democratic National Convention the week. I figure it's about time i get in tune with each candidates issues and platforms. I thought it was a pretty well put together round of propaganda. I guess I like Kerry, but more then anything I just want to see someone other then Bush at 1600 Pensylvania Ave. I plan on checking out the Republicas fiesta here in August to see what their propaganda machines have to dish out. I think my supervisor at work said it best when asked about politics and whatnot....."I avoid it like the plague". I like that alot. Well regardless somebody has to run this country, so I want to be absolutely sure i know the issues and where everybody stands. I encourage you all to do the same and know what your candidate stands for not just the name.

Who let the blogs out? You know i never intentionally started to start my blogs with a fun little blog reference, it just kind of happened. It's actually quite annoying....even to me, but for some reason I find myself digging a little deeper everytime i post to outdo myself, and I think i just hit rock bottom on the blog intro phrase, so at this exact point in time i don't thinki'll do it anymore....but that will most likely change tommorow, or whenever i post next. Not much happening today, was actually productive at work today, felt good. I was soooooo tired this morning I was chugging coffee like it was going out of style. Seriously five cups in an hour. It finally started to kick in at about eleven.....and died off at about two, I resorted to a coke and a bag of skittles to take me through the last part of the afternoon. April decided that she wanted to look at one of those new scion car things. So we took the long long long journey across the street to the toyota dealership. I had every intention of just riding along and tossing my two cents in, but as it turns out at toyota you have to be 21 to test drive a car...before i knew it april told the sales guy that i would drive instead...............so I did, I gotta say that little car impressed me. The designers really went all out. It only packs a v4 under the hood, but it's got great response and exceleration. The steering was very pleasing giving totall control. It was an overall smooth ride. The scion aesthetics are equally well defined with sharp looking wheels and a dual sunroof, which basically means that the it's a glass roof from front to rear windshield. The seats in the car do all kinds of crazy things, from reclining in back to folding down, as well as the passenger seat folding back completely for optimal hauling capabilities. This sweet little car comes in at a respectable eighteen grand. Very pleasant price considering the nice features. God damn, i feel like i'm trying to sell this car. I think that'd be a good car for her sometime down the road, but only time will tell. As for me, i'm still loving my magnum. Damn, magnum, isn't that just the manliest name for a car. Sounds like something Arnold would say before killing someguy with a bazooka. Good stuff. It's soo nice out tonight, i've been out on the balcony for about two hours now, just enjoying the great low humidity sixty degree weather. I wish it could be like this all the time. It's ideal in my book. My sister is currently exploring a new car option. I told her she needs to at least test out the scion, unfortunately there's none in quincy I hear. I think she has her eye on a 2005 toyota corolla. She's pretty close to breaking down and getting it, but with her nothing is a quick decision. Well I guess that pretty much wraps it up for today. Hmm, i ended up filling up the ole blog box pretty good considering there's not alot going on, cool eh?

Snoop bloggy blog here.... Sitting out the balcony on a cool overcast sunday evening. Call me crazy, but I love a cool gray day. I almost wish it was sprinkling a little. I kept on falling asleep watching the race today. My man Gordon pulled in a respectable second while Kurt Bust took the checkered. Well the zoo at the aparment shot out of here at about nine or so. The kids were actually well behaved for the most part. That was a pleasant surprise. Other then the apartment being filled to the tee, it wasn't a bad visit. We saw the cardinals get beat on friday night by the giants. It would have been nice to see them win, but that's how it goes I suppose, still a good time. Yesterday we headed over to the zoo and had a good time, then we pretty well hung out. Couldn't have had better weather if we slipped the meteorologist a fifty. I picked up the cat from the vet on yesterday, she's doing really good after being declawed. We got this pain medicine that was optional, i think it kind of knocks her out, but other then that she seems to be doing great. I'm pondering going out and grabbing some pics of my magnum and putting them up here on the ole trusty blog, we'll see how that goes. My ambition has a tendency to disapear quickly. The damned drier is making loverly demonic noises again. I went out to target today and picked up a a drying rack until management gets over here and deals with the drier. Let's just say I'm not gonna hold my breath there. Was pleasantly surprised to see that a good buddy of mine Chris Koetters has a blog going now. I was happy to see that since unfortunately we don't have to much time to converse these days, and a blogs a great way to kind of get a feel for how everything is going for somebody. Well I suppose i should get to work on being constructive. Till next time, laters.

A a nice warm fresh blog right out of the oven for everyone. Super Duper! Let's see, quite an eventfull couple of weeks. I purchased a dodge magnum. I kind of hated to get rid of the old trusty civic, but it was time. I really like the magnum though. I sure get alot of doubletakes and looks in it though, it's so different from anything out on the road, it attracts alot of attention. Work is good i'm falling into the daily routine so that's cool. The cat is getting declawed on friday which is a good thing, i caught her trying to climb the wall earlier...crazy stuff. Aprils family from Muskogee is due in thursday evening. It'll be nice to see them, but man that apartment is going to be jammed beyond the limitations for several days. We're going to check out a cardinal game, that should be cool, haven't been to one in a long long time. Not too much happening on the travis hoffman design side or music side, i'm pretty much just working and heading home and taking it easy. I got some ideas for projects I want to act on, but it'll probably take a while to get off the ground. I've been trying to get a hold of some of my main compadres lately, but everyone is so busy, and well...unavailable for contact, that it's really quite frustrating. i'd like to pop into rokusek next time in quincy to say hey, but i doubt i'll get the chance since i'm a fulltime worker these days. Those were some great times I had there. I miss the creative side of graphic design. I'm more of a graphic manipulator now. It's got its pros and cons. For instance pro....i'm getting insanely fast in photoshop using all kinds of keyboard shortcuts. I fly through pathing a machine part. Con...there's no creativity involved. I definately miss that aspect. Oh well I guess I have to learn to crawl in the real world before I can walk. Se La Vie. That's gonna do it I suppose, peace.

Can I get a blog blog? Monday evening, i'm pretty tired, Crazy busy weekend I'm comming out of, headed back up to quincy to hang with some guys from the dorm. Had a good time. Went out fishing on the mighty Miss, we all snagged at least one catfish. I got fried pretty good by the sun. Little tender today, we'll see what tommorow brings. I'm still pretty tired, trying to catch up on some sleep. I managed to test drive the dodge magnum out. I totally loved it, i think i'm definately gonna get one in the near future, more news when that materializes. Well I'm extra tired, so peace.

Hooray for darkness. Driving to work today it seemed like the power was back on on all the traffic lights, then it hit, the lifeless non-lit traffic lights, as I rounded the corner to work i saw them, the freaking generators were still there. Sure enough still no power. That storm really must have fried something major. Today however we were all send home at about 9:30 so that wasn't too bad, this time insteading of staring into darkness I conversed with my supervisor, Jack that was a pretty good time. Then I headed home and crashed on the couch and took a two hour nap with the cat. It was pretty good but i shouldn't take naps, unless it's like a four hour nap i'm really groggy, so eventually i snapped out of naptime mode and got some work done on my website. I think i successfully have my flash movie preloading now. Only time will tell, well it's off for some chineese food in a bit, so later.

Have you had your blog today? Massive storms roared through the lou last night.
The worst of it missed our small neck of the woods luckily. Unfortunately however, University city, the location of my job was hit real good. I strolled into the office today right on time....I would have been much earlier if it had not been for the fantastic traffic lights being out for about thirty blocks. So here I am back strolling in. The office is pitch black. Nada light insight. Apparently most of University City was in the dark. All the employees were hudled around the only source of light...the front door/windows. So one of the IT guys it told to track down a generator. About an hour and a half later, here come two spanking new generators...new because the generators that the company once had were apparently stolen or something....didn't really get the full story on it.. Anyways, So here come the generators, now I can get to work. But Wait! the generators are only going to be powerfull enough to get the phones online, and only a few of the main servers. So here we are with no lights, no air, no computers. The boss conveniently stays home and dictates via phone. He doesn't want anyone to leave for fear of loosing sales that we can't make anyways without the computers online. Whatever. So from 8 to 12:30 I literally did absolutely nothing but sit in the dark corner at my desk and space out. I didn't have anything to do at all. It sucked alot. Hopefully the power will be up and running tommorow, but it's hard to say because the "estimated" time it will take was 9:30pm tonight. Fun stuff eh? So yay for doing nothing constructive today!!!!!

Bloggy blog blog I'm gonna blog now. Let's see it's the fourth of july today, didn't check out any firework festivities, however we did go and see the Terminal. It was a pretty good flick. I had no idea that Tom Hanks had such an appeal to old people. The place was PACKED with them, like the retirement home bus just pulled out of the parking lot. Anyways. I have one week work in the bag. Not too shabby. It's probably the first job that I've had little to no stress whatsoever. I know it's early....but I really don't foresee alot of pressure, that's kind of cool, i must admit it's taking some getting used too. I finished a quick project this past Friday. It's a customer appreciation picnic announcement for 1st farm credit services in quincy. It was a real quick turnaround. I'll probably post it up on the website eventually in the portfolio. Speaking of the portfolio. I've successfully updated and did some renovating to the graphic design portion of the website. Minor changes, but i think it really helped out alot. I've got graphic design project brewing in my mind as of now. It's going to be more comedic piece. I was thinking how funny it is sometimes when a person has a odd, or ironic last name, and they decide to open a business. Well it seems that sometimes the last name and the business name seem to collide violently. I thought i'd either get some pictures of various businesses, and then photoshop the signs in front to strange names. Like Swindlehr Autobody for example. It's still in development. I think i might do a simple flash thing and post it...much like the ageless wanderer... of course I'm still figuring out the whole preloader thing, which will actually make it viewable, but all in good time. I'm starting to wrap up the dvd goddess project. should be a couple of weeks to get the final project done. My man Jeff Gordon picked up a win last night at the Pepsi 400. He dominated the majority of the race from pole to checkered. Jimmie Johnson took a close second. Great finish. Good stuff. Well the night grows late and I gotta haul my butt to work tommmorow, later.
