Happy New Year

Happy new year everyone. Hope everyone was safe and managed to have a good time. April and I just hung out and took it easy. Neither of us are used to staying up that late any more, so it took quite an effort to stay up till midnight, but we did. It was odd for me in a way. Being from illinois where fireworks are illegal, rarely would you hear any kind of celebrating involving them. However in Missouri where fireworks are legal....and number of missing appendages are suspiciously larger as well, there was quite the celebration. It was a beautiful night so we both went out on the balcony and watched as the sky filled up with amatuer fireworks. I kind of get a sense of what the iraqi people must feel like when trying to get to sleep...but minus the carnage and war. Regardless, new years was pretty good. As a matter of fact I'm looking forward to seeing some friends who are comming down this evening and crashing here for the night. I can't remember the last time all of us have hung out. It should be good time. The enclosed pic is of our cat Java. This cat really enjoys water and the sink. Every morning when I get up to get ready for work she runs and beats me into the bathroom and lays in the sink just meowing and purring trying to get me to turn on the faucet...with here in it. So I do, and the water runs down her back and she just lays there licking the water, till eventually she gets out and shakes all around like a dog. She's a strange strange cat, but we like her. Adios for now.

Most excellent song at the end of your 2/7/05 blog. I'll bet April's mom would like it alot. In fact, I know she would, er, I mean she does. Oh wait... I do.
